My school is an ongoing experimentation with interactive whiteboards smart. We are a forward-looking language school in Jakarta with the desire to push the boundaries and the desire to embrace technology in class if and only if it proves to be really useful.
With the cost of these devices is constantly decreasing and increasing the range of functions, many schools around the world are turning to interactive displays and touch screen blank similar educational technology. Not wanting to be “left behind” but also not wanting to lose money, we decided to make a four-month trial with a SmartBoard, which has come to an end. As director I had three main issues:
1. Teachers can adapt quickly and easily, and can learn to harness the full potential of the material?
2. No interactive whiteboards improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching going on in my classroom?
3. As the only language school (so far) to use the smart card in Indonesia, its use will attract more than word of mouth marketing and be a profitable long-term investment?
1. Teachers can adapt quickly and easily, and can learn to harness the full potential of the material?
I am deeply interested in technology and computers (and their role in education), so I’ve been a breeze for Smart representative in Jakarta. But I knew that not all my teachers were so quick to get rid of their white board markers. I had more faith, though, because after a few training sessions and a quick lesson in some tests, even my teachers were more technophobes browsing the board with ease. Since the basic function, all teachers can immediately use the blank ballot because it uses a traditional board. Within hours, teachers are incorporating images, sound, Internet browser and interactive activities at work on a whiteboard. Success.
A complaint of teachers is that the “recognition of his pen SmartBoard ‘was too slow, resulting in messy writing. This was not a problem SmartBoard, was a computer program. After cleaning, defragmentation Update hardware and lightweight, the SmartBoard computer control ran lightning-fast and has no complaints more.
Now I’m sure that teachers can learn to use these devices quickly, although some teachers, of course, make the transition easier than others.
2. No interactive whiteboards improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching going on in my classroom?
In short, yes.
Enough of these devices in the classroom makes the room more fun, nice place to be. students’ attention “is drawn to the edge, even before it is lit.
Once operational, students and teachers can enjoy the interaction with the card so it is not possible with conventional panels. Photos, videos, interactive exercises and text can be manipulated and produced in a simple way anyone. The SmartBoard has added a great asset to the learning experience of my school, and Internet access on board has been invaluable. I’m not sure how difficult vocabulary faced before we were to use ‘Google Images’ to flash a photo in seconds. We also regularly use news websites to add actual texts of many of our current classes.
In terms of improving quality of education, Smartboards have been a resounding success.
3. As the only language school (so far) to use Smartboards in Indonesia, the floor will attract more word of mouth marketing and be a profitable long-term investment?
It has been difficult to prove. The cards are not cheap, and must be accompanied by a computer and LCD projector, so this is a question that is going to keep looking. Smartboards have been in force since the beginning in some classrooms and other traditional blackboards. Most students (96%) said they prefer to deal with conventional interactive whiteboard. The students themselves also noted, however, that the most important factor affecting their level of satisfaction was the quality of the teacher and the same teaching. Interestingly, there was no particular demographic (young / old / men / women) who prefer to learn with interactive white boards more than others.
Among the students have a high level of satisfaction with our teachers, and re-enter on a high. The school, sign up to www English. aimjakarta. com, is prosperous and word of mouth marketing is flourishing, but it is impossible to say that this was due to Smartboards alone. For us, the process was an overwhelming success and we plan to invest in Smartboards for all classes during 2007/2008.
If you’re thinking of investing in these devices, do not think it will be the answer to the problems of their school. However, when used in combination with the great masters, interactive touchscreen boards can be a powerful marketing tool and, especially, can greatly improve the quality and effectiveness of education in school.
To view the SmartBoard in use, check out www. aimjakarta. com

If you are studying in a country that allows you to work so it is wise to seek job opportunities in the niche of his study. For you as a student pursuing the course of any material of foreign language teaching can replace this method of learning. Here are some options that are available to work while studying abroad. The benefits may have to study and work abroadYou may have a long list of benefits for those who work during their studies. Two major advantages include the manufacture of a small amount of money unless they are carrying out voluntary work and know the culture and language. This will significantly improve their language skills in a short period. The options available for work and study in abroadDepending hold citizenship and the country you are studying three options are available for students to travel programming language for work and study at the same time. Read on to learn more. other work available in studentsStudents foreigners who are citizens of the EU and a course of language in the European Union is very easy to work while studying. The EU is a community without borders offers great flexibility to work. EU law allows citizens of one EU country to work elsewhere. If you are an EU citizen, you can work easily without the need for a special permit or work visa. This language will make your trip very pleasant, as you can easily fix in your language school and working part time can pay the fees without any difficulty or dependence on parents. Study abroad and work as pairIf UA is very essential to work to earn the fees that can work as an au pair and study abroad. There are two options available to you. Some schools also offer programs to their students. These are programs that allow students to enroll in a language school to work as an au pair while attending school for a number of lessons per week. This allows you to track your foreign language course unmolested. Another possible option is to separate processing through a specialized agency of the pair, and sign a separate in foreign languages. Earn while studying through the last internshipThe option available is to implement an internship program. A large number of language schools abroad offering these programs, but the way they offer is, it varies between schools. I will give you two easy ways to participate in an internship program. One way is to attend a certain number of classes and work full-time work in advance. Another way is to keep the legs in two boats at the same time i. e. part-time and part-time study. One of the key things you should check if you like the gain is that some internships are unpaid. So be careful when selecting an internship program. But you are interested in acquiring knowledge you can go on the road and select the best paid or not and understand everything that you can get work experience.
